What’s coming for WP Full Picture in 2025
If you followed changes to the WP Full Picture plugin in 2024, you know that it was a very exciting year for us. A lot has changed, the product has matured and got many sought-after features.
Of course, not all went as planned, so some of the features we wanted to add are now moved to 2025. What are they? Let’s start with what we managed to do in 2024.
What we did in 2024
In 2024 WP Full Picture has changed a lot. We introduced a slew of new features and updates. Most notable of them are:
- Cloud platform for saving proofs of visitor’s tracking consents and declines
- Completely new, written from scratch WooCommerce integration
- Advanced order tracking in Meta Pixel and Google Analytics
- Consent Mode v2 support
- Lead scoring
- GDPR setup helper
- A full functionality of making backups of WP FP’s settings
- Rewritten in-app descriptions and guides
- Polish translation (0.5 MB of text!)
- Vastly improved consent banner
What we did not do (and will not do in 2025)
In 2024, we wanted to introduce a mechanism for self-hosting tracking scripts. Unfortunately, after many hours of work and testing, we realized, that this can cause many tracking issues. As a result, we put the idea for self-hosting files on hold. We may come back to it in the future, but we have no plans to do it right now.
What is coming in 2025
Server’side tracking for more tracking tools
At the moment, WP Full Picture offers server-side tracking for Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Simple Analytics. We planned to include server side tracking for all other tools that support it until the end of the last year, but… we didn’t have the time. These plans now moved to 2025.
New integrations
Last year we planned to add integrations with Visual Website Optimizer, Klaviyo and MailerLite. These are all scheduled, but just like with the above, we did not have the time to finish them. They will be released in 2025.
Major user interface improvements
The three most common issues that people have with setting up tracking tools are:
- They don’t know if they installed them correctly
- They can’t set up some tracking features without knowing HTML nor CSS
- They don’t know how to debug issues
We plan to address all of them with the new UI that will be slowly introduced throughout 2025.
Ready-to-use descriptions of tracking tools for the privacy policy
Your privacy policy should include descriptions of the tracking tools you use, what they track and how they use the data they collect.
So far, some of this information could be found in the GDPR Setup Helper that we made in the previous year.
Now, we plan to take the next step. We will create a mechanism to easily include descriptions of tracking tools in your privacy policy.
A big surprise
This time last year, I wrote about two big surprises that will come to WP Full Picture in 2024. These were Lead Scoring and GDPR Setup Helper – both of them unique and very helpful.
In 2025, we plan to introduce something much, much bigger. Stay tuned.
