How to use “Microsoft Clarity Live” Chrome extension

So, you tried running “Microsoft Clarity Live” Chrome extension on your site, but it didn’t work?

There is a simple explanation of it.

This extension only works if Microsoft Clarity’s script is running on the site at the time of browsing.

This means that if you are using any type of traffic exclusion, or you simply declined cookies, this script will not run for you.

What to do about it?

The easiest way around it is to enable validation mode in the settings of your Microsoft Clarity integration. This way, however, all your excluded traffic that visits the page will be tracked by Clarity as long as the validation mode is enabled.
